Eastwood Independence Day Parade & Picnic
Saturday, June 29
Festivities begin at 9 am at Playground Park/Lippitt Park. Post-parade picnic and playtime last until about noon.
Join with the Eastwood Neighborhood Association to celebrate our neighborhood and honor our nation in the annual Eastwood Independence Day Parade & Picnic! Meet up at the park or cheer us from the parade route.
TWO BIG CHANGES:
- The date has changed to June 29, the Saturday before July 4th
- The parade route is now shortened to Sylvania to Vinemont to Overglen to Creekmere.
Eastwood Neighborhood Association encourages everyone in the family to participate, including your pets!

Wear your most patriotic clothes. Be a superhero! Dress up the kids and dogs. Costume prizes!
Deck out your bicycle, wagon, or anything else that rolls. Decorate your classic car or sports convertible and join the parade! Motorscooters and Vespas, too.
The Eastwood parade will follow the first responders — police and/or fire — up Sylvania. Then a right on Vinemont and a quick right on Overglen and up to Creekmere.
It’s a short block back to Playground Park for Eastwood Neighborhood Association’s picnic party! For the kids, we’ll have a big inflatable double water slide!
- Grilled hotdogs and tofu pups
- Cold beverages and water
- Cotton candy machine
- Fruit and bag snacks
- Snow cone machine
