Independence Day Parade Was So Much Fun!
A wonderful look back at the Eastwood parade and picnic on July 4th. We had a record crowd of around 100 people and lots of dogs. A police car, firetruck, and a tractor, plus bikes, kids’ cars, an adult trike, and even a rolling toy lawnmower bubbleblower. Our neighborhood is so creative!
Great thanks to our ENA Independence Day event crew: event coordinator and bounce house wrangler — Catherine Depew ~ grill team — David Cunningham, with Brian Cade and Greg Jacobs ~ food crew — David and Ann Cossum, Amy Martin, Lisa Monroe, and Katherine Trotter ~ ENA table, fliers, and website — Amy Martin and Scooter Smith ~ sound system — Brian Cade ~ prize wrangler — Karen Cott ~ prize judge — Rita Williams.
Keeping the streets safe for the parade was our VIP team — Darrell Wood, leader, with Carol Browne, David Cossum, William Friend, Gilda Kessner, Joe Labay, Lisa Monroe, and Francis Shaner.
Street curb-flag crew — Catherine and Jimmy Depew, Hala Hluchoweckyj, Amy Martin, Erik Rameriz, Scooter Smith, Katherine Trotter, and Darrell Wood.

Getting the Party Ready

Waiting for the Parade
The firetruck was running a little behind, so we had some chat time.

If it Rolls, it Strolls in the Parade

And Away We Go!
We decided to shorten the parade route, partly due to heat but also to make it easier on the littles.
