Whitehaven at Lake Gardens

Join in the rebirth of the Whitehaven bed. It’ll be fun and easy. Bring as big a shovel as you’ve got. Dallas Parks & Recreation delivered a large load of compost. It’s in a pile in front of the raised bed.

But it’s still a bit rough. So we’ll load it into a gas-powered grinder to make it finer. Then shovel it into buckets and dump it into the bed and mix it with the little soil that remains.

Speaking of soil… if you’ve got some dirt piles around the yard, we’d love to have the soil. You can see in the photo how low the soil level has become. Just container it up and bring it along. We’d sure appreciate it greatly. We need dirt!
