Making Eastwood Fun

Making Eastwood Fun

June 24, 2025 Amy Martin

Don’t you love the Spring Celebration & Easter Egg Hunt? Certainly, the July 4th Parade & Picnic! Your dues make these big events possible. Join! Be a part of the team by emailing or texting Catherine.

We hear you! You want even more fun, smaller events to mix and mingle with neighbors. Here’s what you’ve suggested.

Monthly happy hours at area restaurants and bars:

  • Non-drinkers welcome. Many of these places donate gift certificates to our welcoming baskets and event prizes. The best thanks we can give them is patronage. Super easy to do. You just call the date and place.

Family gatherings:

  • We’ve done movie picnics in the park and would love to resume that. We have the projector and sound system.
  • Monthly play dates at the parks have been suggested. It allows parents to share overseeing duties and enjoy adult conversation. Recruit an organizer at the event for the next one, and so on.

Porch parties:

  • Old Lake Highlands does these and they’re a huge hit. A person agrees to host and offers their front yard. Sets a pot-luck table with serving ware and ice water. Some provide wine and beer. Recruit an organizer at the event for the next one, and so on.

What great ideas can you manifest?!

If you’d like to help make Eastwood fun, please email or text Catherine.

ENA will handle the promotions (unless you prefer to).
