July 2, 2019 ENA

A colorful crowd gathered on Saturday June 29 for the Eastwood Neighborhood Association annual Independence Day Parade & Picnic! We had parade walkers and rollers, with many patriotically decorated strollers, kick scooters, and more. Everyone enjoy the shorter parade route — so much easier on the young kids. Many thanks to Darrell Wood for arranging the police and fire escort.

Back at Playground Park for the picnic party, kids had a great time on the big inflatable double water slide. Everyone enjoyed David Cunningham’s grilled hotdogs and tofu pups. Plentiful snacks, cold beverages, sliced watermelon. Many thanks to Eastwood’s fabulous social chair, Sarah Hamilton.

Spirits were high as Eastwooders gathered for the parade. Kids were delighted with the firetruck.
