Eastwood Pop-up/Drop-in Plant Sale

Benefitting the Dixon Branch Greenbelt Guild & Entry & Whitehaven Gardens

  • June 1 to 15 – 10 am to 7 pm

  • Prices are 20% lower than retail, sometimes more.
  • Focus on groundcovers of all kinds.
  • Locally grown with Eastwood soil acclimated to our conditions.

My crazy schedule is making it hard to stage a weekend plant sale in the park. So we’re doing it drop-in style. I need to keep the plant tray for future plant sales, so bring boxes to put your purchases in.

Groundcovers

black & blue salvia – Hummingbird magnet, covers large areas, blue flowers. Full sun/part shade.

  • 6 – 1 gallon pot – $15, $75 for all

catmint/nepeta – almost evergreen, blue flowers. Full sun.

  • 4 – 4-in pots – $4 each, $12 for all

fall obedient plant/false dragonhead — purple flowers that stay where you move them, water frequesntly or plant in wet areas. Full to part shade. Native.

  • 2 – 1-gallon pots – $12 each, $10 for both

hosta, “Earth Angel” – Dies back to ground in winter, pair with tiny early-spring bulbs like grape hyacinth or lily of the valley. Water regularly. Full to part shade.

  • 6 – 1-gallon pot – $15 each, $75 for all

lambs’ ears – – So soft and silvery, impossible not to touch. Full sun but will take a bit of shade.

  • 20 4-in pots – $5 each, $80 for all

lirope/monkey grass – Fabulous under trees where grass won’t grow, for lining driveways and shrub beds. Part shade to shade.

  • 11 – 1 gallon pots – $8 each, $75 for all
  • 1 undivided 12 x 20 in tray– $12 each
  • 1 undivided 10 x 14 in tray– $10 each
  • 1 undivided 16-inch round tray – $15 each

lyreleaf sage – beautifully shaped leaves with purple tinge, self-seeds. Native. Part shade to shade.

  • 14 – 4-inch pots – $4, $48 for all

mondo grass – We have soooooooo much! – Fabulous under trees where grass won’t grow, for lining driveways and shrub beds. Part shade to shade.

  • 48 – 4-in pots – $3 each, 12 for $30
  • 2 undivided 6 x 20 in tray– $24 each
  • 3 undivided 16-inch round trays – $15 each

sedum, hardy “Brilliant” – Lucuious broad leaves, pink flowers in late summer. Full sun.

  • 8 – 4-in pots – $4 each, $26 for all

Texas wood fern – Covers large areas, dies back to ground in winter, pair with early spiderwort or spring bulbs. Native. Part shade to shade.

  • 1 – 5-gal pots $15 each, 2 for $20

Shrubs & Large Perennials

White beautyberry (makes white berries) – Uncommon and unique. Native. Part shade.

  • 1 gallon pot – $25

red yucca – Very drought-resistant. Native. Full sun/part shade.

  • 6 – 5-gallon pots – $20 each, $100 for all

Trees

paw paw – Understory tree that makes custard-texture fruit that tastes like apple-banana. Only Texas native fruit. Must have at least two and hand fertilize for full fruit production. Part shade to shade.
