Independence Day – Annual Eastwood Parade and Picnic
Playground Park
July 4th – 9 am
Join with the Eastwood Neighborhood Association to celebrate our neighborhood and honor our nation in the annual Eastwood 4th of July Parade and Picnic!
Meet up at Playground Park, or cheer us from the parade route.
Wear your most patriotic clothes. Dress up the kids and dogs. Deck out your bicycle, wagon, scooter and anything else that rolls.
Do you have a classic car or sports convertible? Decorate it and join the parade!
Festivities begin at 9 am. Parade starts at the Playground Park. Refreshments will be served at the park after the parade. We will have prizes for best costume and encourage everyone in the family to participate, including your pets!
For the parade, we’ll follow our first responders — police and/or fire — and go up Sylvania. We take a right on Vinemont, follow it to Creekmere, turn right and return to the park.
Back at Playground Park, we’ll have a picnic party!
- Chilled watermelon
- Bag snacks – Cold drinks and water
- Freshly grilled hotdogs and tofu pups with all the fixings
For the kids, we’ll have a big inflatable water slide!
Be sure to drop by the Eastwood Neighborhood Association table and chat up one of our board members about exciting things on the horizon for our park and neighborhood. Become a member!
